Halloween with Hallmark–Review & Giveaway

The countdown is on for back to school and would you believe #Halloween items are already in stores?  So it should have been no surprise that my fall shipment of Hallmark goodies included some awesome Halloween decorations.

From scary pumpkins to ghostly mirrors the Hallmark team has dreamed up some super spooky fun sure to delight your trick-or-treaters.

Who’s Watching me? This singing plush owl’s eyes move side to side as he sings a parody of “Somebody’s Watching Me.”  $15.95 each with the purchase of 1 Hallmark Card. Adorable!  Check out this cute video

Alive and Talking Pumpkin.  This adorable pumpkin comes to life before your eyes with changing expressions and phrases.  Operating by motion sensor the pumpkin lights up when someone walks by. $19.95 special price.

Fortune-telling Magic Mirror.  Motion activated mirror tells you what your future holds.  Fun to either hang on your door for the trick-or-treaters or to have inside for your guests.  $19.95 special price.

Shadowcasters. Create a spooky scene with Shadowcaster Witches or Haunted House.  The background flickers and glows and the farther you set the Shadow caster away from the wall the larger the shadow reflected.  Definitely cool.  Witches:  $14.95  Haunted House $19.95

This looks like a lot of fun and my kids are already talking about who gets to hold up what prop for photo ops.  When you're done taking pictures the props also make great decorations for any Halloween parties planned.

I think what I loved most about Hallmarks Halloween items, is that they are spooky fun without being overly gross or scary.  My kids were excited as if they were in a candy store and couldn't wait to try each one out. They can't wait to set up "traps" for trick-or-treaters this Halloween.

One of my favourite non Halloween items is the Personalized Frames.  Teaming up with Shutterfly, these nifty frames are the perfect size to make memorable photo gifts.  You simply upload your photos, choose your Monogram and voila Shutterfly prints and sends out a perfect photo collage to go in your frame.  Starts at $12.95   They also have a 3D Family Tree collage and a New Baby Pre-done frame design as well.

Also available at Hallmark stores is a collection of Peanuts memorabilia.  From Snoopy Mini Plush to Character mugs, the Peanuts story continues to touch us with meaningful phrases meant to make us pause.  I adore the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Perpetual Calendar ($24.95) and Framed Prints Snoopy and Peppermint Patty “a little love makes all the difference” $24.95

Of course these are just a few of the new items at Hallmark this fall.  Be sure to check out your nearest Hallmark store or Hallmark.ca for what’s new and cool this year.
